During his search, Richard arrives to a library and discovers inside of a book the image of woman called Cristina Collins, died long ago. The peculiar thing is, despite her old clothes and hair style, the woman is identical to her missing girlfriend. After to collect some clues, he arrives to a beautiful mansion. He will soon discover this mansion is habited by spirits. He must help them to find peace and discover during his quest the secrets this bewitched mansion hide. Secrets that will help him to find out the reason of the disappearance of his girlfriend, which strangely is related to the mansion and its habitants. 04. Go to the right, take the bank and go to the bookshelf behind yours. Take the book-file that is upon the bookshelf. Read it. After that, you will hear the sound of something falling. Go to the C-1 bookshelf and take the book from the floor. The book revealed the image of a woman (Cristina Collins). (Automatic Sequence). When you recover the conscience you'll stay laid down in a bed. Then you will meet Brian Knode, your partner in the investigation. Once you wake up, go to the table and take the lighter and the dry medicinal plant. Go towards the Dressing Room and take the dry medicinal plant from the desk. Go to the Living Room, use the lighter with the candle of the window (Scene). Speak with the shadow of the boy. After some dialogs, you will be transferred to the past time (these kind of 'ancestral trips' will happen often during the game). Once in the past, open the closet and take the fish food. Give it to Elliot. When he gives you back put it in the closet again and close it. Then Elliot will give you the key of the closet. Close it. (Return to the present time). Give it the key to Elliot shadow. (Scene). When Elliot has vanished and the red-headed girl has gone away, you can take the red sphere (Astral Peace). Take the key of the Distribution Board from the closet. Go to the corridor and walk to the 'T' intersection and then to the right towards where Brian is. Open the distribution board and use the key. The first ghost appears. (Karin Clancy)(Scene). Turn on the light switch and the ghost will disappear, for the moment. (They can't stand the light). Brian will decide to run away from the mansion. Enter the Reception Office. Turn on the light (TIP: whenever it's possible, turn on the light first when you enter a room. That will keep the spirits away). Take the dry medicinal plant from the table. Go to the corridor and take the key from the distribution board. Go to the Entrance Hall. You will see the ghost girl again. (Scene). Run downstairs and turn on the light switch that is at the side of the stairs. Take the compass near the corpse of Brian. Equip it if you want. Go to the Central Wing Corridor (Scene). Go to the Bar Lounge and take the newspaper from the table. (Ancestral trip/Scene). Once inside the zeppellin, go down the spiral staircase and take the teddy bear under it. Go to the Passenger Room and give it the bear to the little girl. Get out of the room, go up the staircase and open the double doors. (Scene/Back to the present time). Take the newspaper again. A key will fall from it. Take it and open the door of the kitchen. Go towards to the left door and enter. Use the key of distribution board. Now you have light in this floor (at least in the east wing). Open the drawer of the left shelf, there you will find a dry medicinal plant and a code in roman numerals (VVIIIVI). Go to the kitchen and speak with the shadow cook. He'll tell you is looking for his pepper grinder. Go to the Music Room and take the picture that is in the table. (Ancestral trip/Scene). Once in the present time, speak with the girl of the piano. She will tell you she can't play the complete melody). Go to the Bar and turn the jukebox on and listen the complete melody). Return to the Music Room and speak again with the girl. Complete the notes of the score and get the correct tune. The girl play the piano again and the barman will comes in. (Scene). After she gone away, take the 2 red spheres. Go to the Bar Lounge and enter behind the bar and walk to the display cabinet of the bottom. Take the pepper grinder and the flask of seeds. Go to the kitchen and give it the pepper grinder to the cook. He pass away. Take the red sphere. Go to the West Courtyard and walk to the tomb of the bottom. However, before you manage to arrive, the ghost girl will appears again and this time with her ghost dog which by her order will attack you. Run to the tomb and touch it. (Ancestral trip). At the courtyard you see a girl walking. Speak with her and she will tell you she's looking for Dino, her dog. Go to the place where the tomb was and take the medicinal plant. Walk to the double door and enter the Wine Warehouse and go down by the stairs of the floor. When you have gone down somebody will close the entrance behind yours. The matter here is to catch the dog and take him the spanner away. When you have take it go to the small lift and fix it's volt, work the mechanism and return to the first floor. Go to the Courtyard (Scene). After some chat, the girl will give you the necklace of opal (Return to the present time). The ghost girl and her dog again... but now you know what to do. Simply avoid to the dog and go fast to the girl and give it to her the necklace of opal. (Scene). She and her dog finally pass away. Take what she has dropped (a hook with horse head) and go to the Employee Waiting Room and set the hook in the hanger beside the big picture of the woman. A secret room will be revealed. Inside, you'll find the diary of the ghost girl (Karin Clancy). When you returning to the main room a scene with the radio will happen. Inside the desk there is a medicinal plant. Go to the Central Lounge and touch the number lock pad. Enter the password (do you remember the roman numerals you saw before?). The password is 586. Enter the room and speak with the little girl of the corner, she'll give you the Medal of Wolf. Go to the Dining Hall, equip the Medal of Wolf and speak with the boy hidden under the table. He give you the Gold Coin of Sheep and soon pass away. Take his Astral Peace (the red sphere). If you want, go to the Cigar Lounge and inside the cabinet you'll find a candle. Go to the corridor and you will listen strange noises like someone's dragging something and then open and close a door. If you go to the Entrance Hall will discover the corpse of Brian has been taken and only is left a blood trace. Follow the trace until the East Corridor which is accessible now. In the table of the corridor there is a medicinal plant. Go to the right and enter the first door you see. Now you are in the Dressing Room (showers). Open the first of the lockers and you find a medicinal plant. Go now to the Central Courtyard. (Scene). When you regain the control of yourself, take the George's oil lamp. (Scene). Explore the wharf. With time the river will bring the corpse of Brian. Touch him. (Scene). Avoid the bullets and go to the Central Courtyard and then to the East Courtyard. Enter the Oil Filling Station and take the can of gasoline from the shelf. Go to the Garden Management Room. Take the notebook from the table. Take the flask of seeds from the shelf. Use the gasoline with the generator and push its button. Return to the Garden and open thge valve. Go to the Green House and push the switch near the bridge. This will activate the sprinkler and George who seems doesn't like water will run away dropping a crank. Take it and go to the West Warf. If you want take the medicinal plant from the flowerpots of the Garden and/or from the East Courtyard. Use the crank with the crank hole of the boat shed. Take the hankerchief from the boat (Ancestral trip/Scene). Once in the present time jump to the boat. You see a menu window with 3 option where to go: 1)Mansion 2)Church (here you can exchange your astral spheres for recovery items and other stuff. Also you can recover your health with the water of the fountain). 3)Remains Choose the option 3. ---(REMAINS)--- Once you arrive go directly to the Lab Rest Room and take the John's sanitary gown from the bed and the fishing rod from the shelf. Return to the warf and give it the fishing rod to old man shadow. Enter the fishing shed. Take the medicinal plant from the bookshelf. Take the oil lamp from the chair. Suddenly appears a new ghost girl (Bridget Majorelle). She has the ability of pull you to her. Simply equip your lamp and she'll dessapear. Go to the Dig Site and reload your lamp. (You can do it whenever you want). Since there's no light in the Lab, equip your lamp all along. Go to the lockers of the bottom but before opening them you must equip the John's suit. Open the locker of the middle and take the Ken's sanitary gown. Equip it. Go to the Office and talk with the girl of the desk (Illeana Majorelle). Go to the Research Room and take the magnifying glass from the drawer of the rack. Return to the Office and equip the John's suit. Speak with Illeana and give it the magnifying glass to her. Go to the Projection Room, equip the suit of Ken and take the Michael's sanitary gown from the chair. A pen will fall down from it. Take it (Scene). Return to the Office. With the Michael's suit equipped talk with Illeana (Ancestral trip/Scene). Give the pen to Illeana and she will leave the room. Take the Bridget's sanitary gown from the bed. (Back to the present time). Equip the Bridget's suit and speak with Illeana. She passes away. Take her Astrall sphere. Take the chair out of the way and open he drawer of the bottom. Take the key of the safe. (TIP: the safe's combination is written on it). Go to the Research Room and open the safe with the combo and then with the key. Take the Ancient Signs Decipherment Book. With the Bridget's suit equipped speak with Ken and Michael. Take they Astral spheres. Go to the Ancient Remains. Speak with the man crouched. (John Fisher).(Ancestral trip). Explore the underground. You will find exploration boots. (If the time's and you return to the present time you can come back to the mine again). Follow the signs and you'll find the right place. This is the right path: forward, left, right, forward, right, right, forward, left, forward, go up ladder, forward, jump down hole, forward, right, right, go down ladder. (Scene). Just when a big rock is falling upon you, you return to the present time. Speak again with John and return to the cave. Go to the relief and take the red heart-shape stone. Tecnically, once you haved read the Ancient Signs Decipherment Book is possible to read the relief beside the human figure. Those are verses hat reveals the code of colors of the Grieve Tower. Go up the ladder (Return to the present time). ---(GRIEVE TOWER)--- Go to the Fishing Shed and jump to the boat. Choose the new revealed route and go to the Grieve Tower. Go to the panel beside the door and push the buttons in this order: orange, yellow, green, light blue, blue, purple. Enter the tower. Go up to the last floor and you'll find another relief with a light blue heart-shape stone. Take it but don't place the red stone yet. Reurn to the Dig Site and go back in the time. Place the light blue stone in the relief. Enter the Magic Room. In the middle of the room there's a cup surrounded by a fire column. Light the candles in this order: purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, red. Take the cup and get out of the room. Approach to Frank (he's dead now). Check him and take his locker key. (Scene/Back to the present time). Go to the Lab Corridor and use the key to open the last locker. Take the Frank's sanitary gown. Equip it and return to the Dig Site and speak with John. He passes away. Return to the Grieve Tower and place the red stone in the relief. (Automatic secuence). Once in the ceiling take the stone board from the floor. (Ancestral trip/Scene). In the present time take the stone board again. Bridget the ghost appears. Equipping the lamp is useless now. Get close and give it the bronce cup to her. She passes away. Finally you can take the stone board and get out of there. Go down to the third floor and place the stone board in the stone monument (Scene). Go down to the second floor and enter the new accesible door. Go to the sarcophagus and touch the mummy. (Scene). When yo wake up you're in a cell. Once George gone away go to the left and take your items. Move the bed many times until the chain broken. After awhile George comes back and enters in the cell to repair the chain. He leaves the door open with the key placed. (What a moron). Get out of the cell (Scene). Go to the right to the pair of busts and then to the right to the color mask. Rotate it and enter the opened corridor of your left. Walk straight and enter the first cell of your right. Take the white mask of the floor and return to the busts area. Take the mask from the left bust and place it in the one of the right. Place the other mask in the left bust. Enter the new revealed corridor of your right. Walk straight to the door of the bottom. Go out and save your game in the red phone. (I suggest you to do it). Open the green door (Scene). At last free of that bastard. To your left there's a medicinal plant. If your life is low this is the moment to regain it. Go to the falled door and take the memo. (Scene). Be carefull with the stalactites. Later the river divides into two streams. The left one is the easy one and you'll can see somebody known drowned. After avoiding some obstacles you will arrive to a cave. Go to the cellar. Take the hammer from the table. (Scene). Once the red-headed woman has gone take the book from the table. ---(MANSION)--- Go up the stairs. Open the sliding door and enter the Central Lounge. Go to the First Floor East Corridor and place the hammer in the relief. (Scene). Before enter the Join Room take both keys from the Distribution Boards. You will need it. Go to the Employee Lounge and place the key in the Distribution Board. There's a medicinal plant in the bathroom. Go to the Wardrobe and enter the compartment under the floor and take the broken violin. Go to the Emloyee Bedroom (27) and speak with the man (Stanley Osborne).(Ancestral trip). Give it the violin to the man of the door. Enter the Guest Room and speak with the red-headed woman. After some chat you'll return to the present time. Go to the Wardrobe again and take the violin (now repaired). Go to the Employee Bedroom and give it the violin to Stanley. He will play it and will passes away. Go to the other Employee Bedroom (28) and take the Astral sphere of the baby. Follow Poly (the nanny) to the Employee Lounge. Speak with her and take the fuel tablets from the table. Go to the Atelier. Open the green cabinet. Pull the sliding table and use the bench to enter to the duct of the right. Go out by the grate of the left and walk over the cabinets to the window of the bottom. Open it and enter the Painting Room. Place the fuel tablets in the fireplace and then use the lighter on it. (Scene). Morris passes away. Take the pocket watch and go to the Employee Lounge. Give it to Poly. Follow her to the Room of Old Lady. (Scene). Poly passes away. Take the object Poly thrown (a horn). Take the dry medicinal plant from the closet and the flask of seeds from the suitcase. Speak with Helen Clancy (the old lady). (Ancestral trip/Scene). Take the flax sack from the table. (Back to the present time). Go to the Garden Management Room anf fill the flax sack with the compost of the floor. Return to the Room of the Old Lady and use the compost with the flower. (Scene). Helen passes away and automatic flower taking. Go to the First Floor East Corridor and speak with the man near the relief. He passes away. Take both keys of the Distribution Boards with you. Go to the Wardrobe and place the horn in the horse head. Open the unicorn door. Now you're at the East Wing Second Floor Corridor. Go to the Distribution Board and activate with both keys. Go to the Warehouse and speak with the boy (Rally). Take the candle and give it to him. He give a plate with the words 'Statue of Silent' written on it. Go to the East Wing Second Floor Corridor. You must turn all the busts until all are facing towards the corridor. Use the plate to help you. Once the big eye is closed you can enter the door. Go to the Househusband Main Office (22) and light the candle of the desk. Take the chair off from the desk and and you will find another hidden boy under it. Equip the Medal of Wolf and speak with him. He will give you hs Gold Coin of Sheep. He passes away. Take his Astral sphere. Go to the Gym. Another boy is hidden inside the locker. Aparently you only can open it before 9:00 a.m and after 4:30 p.m. I opened it at 4:25 p.m. so I'm not sure about it. At Househusband Private Office (22a) there's a candle. Go to the Amusement Room. Don't turn the light on (don't worry, the ghost can't enter here). Change places the chair of clubs with the chair of spades. Now you can turn on the light. (Scene). Once they're left go to the Dance Hall. (Scene). Take the Astral spheres and the key of Housewife Bedroom. In the cabinet at the bathroom there are two flasks of seeds. Talk with the woman beside the bed. (Ancestral trip/Scene). Take the mask from the bed. Go to the Mask Room and open the door of the bedroom. (Ancestral trip). Place the mask in the hook of the panel with the other masks. A sliding door will open revealing a secret compartment. Knock the bedroom's door and move quickly to the secret room. (Scene). When Albert has gone get out of the secret room and go to the big mask of the entrance. Open its mouth and take the key of the bedroom. Enter the bedroom and take the pine seed near the corpse. (Back to the present time). Go to the Warehouse and give it the pine seed to Rally. He passes away dropping an earring. Return to the Mask Bedroom. Patty the ghost will appears again. Like the match with Bridget, give it what she wants. In this time the earring. She passes away. Under the rubble floor there is a medicinal plant. Push the switch of the wall. (Scene). At the Mask room there's happen a scene with the red-headed woman. Go to the East Wing North Stairs Room and go up the stairs. Walk until arrive to the other hatch. Now you are in the West Wing Second Floor North Corridor. Go to the Chat Room. On the fireplace there is a dry medicinal plant (The second time you play the game you find a box with slide films. You can watch it at the Projection Room. It contains the Art of Echo Night 2 (character designs by the artist K. Sugawara). Go to the Reading Room and speak with the old man. (Edgard Clancy). He give you a book in order to be place in its respective bookshelf at the Archive Room. Each time you come back to speak with him, he will give you a new book. Go to the Central Lounge and give it the four coins to Carol. She passes away. Take her Astral sphere and go to the Reading Room. Speak with the old man. He passes away. Return to the Remains and speak with Joseph. He passes away. Go to the Church and exchange your Astral spheres with items. Go to the Festival Place. (Scene). Speak with the Medium. Once in the real world take the book from the floor. ---(CLOCK TOWER)--- Go to the boat and choose the new course (Clock Tower Island). Once you arrive I suggest you save your game before go up the ladder. Enter the Clock Tower by the back door. Move quickly to the elevator. Once in the second floor there are two ways to choose: One is walking by the gears in movement (if you feel capable) to the ladder of your left. The other way is pushing the lever beside the lift in order to stop the gears and you can walk without danger to the ladder of your left. Once you are in the third floor, dodge the shots from Albert and go straight to the ladder there is to your right corner. Enter the door and go up the stairs and enter the door of the top. (Scene). Go to the cell and speak with Rebecca. (Scene). Open the cell and set Rebbeca free. Go to the door where the red-headed woman left. Go up the stairs and go out to the ledge and speak with the red-headed woman. She will offers the dagger to you twice. Refuse it twice. (Trust me). (Scene). Enjoy the ending. 07.ENDINGS ========== (Warning: Spoilers!) Ending 1: At the Clock Tower, Albert shoot you. He's gonna finish you but Jessica shoot him with the shotgun. After some dialogs, Jessica makes kneel down near to him, crying, then he dies. After that you enter a room and see Rebecca stepping beside a cradle. You look inside the cradle and see two sleeping twin babies (Rebecca and Albert). How to get this ending: Don't obtain all the Astral Peaces and liberate Jessica with the Eye of Awakening. Ending 2: At the Clock Tower, Albert shoot you. He's gonna finish you but the red-headed woman shoot him with the shotgun. After some dialogs, the red-headed woman finish him and then leaves. At the ledge she offers to you the dagger, however you refuse it. Then the medium appears. Some dialogs between them. The red-headed woman throws the dagger to him but it pass through him. He vanish and a growing red energy sphere begin to approaching to her. After the CG ending, you enter a room and see Rebecca looking the moon through the window. You go up to her and she smiles to you warmly. How to get this ending: Obtain all the Astral Peaces (30) and go to the altar and speak with the medium. 08.
